Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, Place du Trocadero and 11 November on the hill of Chaillot, Trocadero Palace, was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1937 by the architects Leon Azema, Jacques Carlu and Louis-Hippolyte Boileau.
The Chaillot Palace is composed of two pavilions and two curved wings surrounding the plaza of Human Rights and down towards the Seine. Between each of the two wings, the Trocadero gardens overlooking the view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars.

The building is characterized by the many statues that adorn it and the two pavilions topped with monumental sculptures carved by Raymond Delamarre and Carlo Sarrabezolles.
The garden of the Trocadéro is also decorated with sculptures, a landscaped garden surrounding the cascading pools. Fountain of Warsaw, erected in 1937 and flows into twenty water jets staged in eight successive steps.
It was in this palace that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights December 10, 1948
